Joseph Muzio is the author of "Buddy Remembers", a biography that focuses on his Italian-American family.

Mr. Muzio is a former Marine and holds a B.A. from Queens College and an M.A. and Ed.D. from Columbia University. He was professor and chair of the Biological Sciences Dept. at Kingsborough Community College, New York.

Mr. Muzio's father, Frank Muzio, owned restaurants in New York City and was a part of the New York gambling syndicates which organized crime operated.

Frank Muzio's links to illegal gambling and loan sharking was unknown to his son Joseph during his childhood.
