MERGER

Following meetings in Chicago on September 21st and 22nd, 1946 where the vision of a merger of National UNICO Clubs and the National Civic  League was officially proposed, a second Chicago conference  was held on November 30th and December1st, 1946.  An official merger resolution was drawn, signed and later submitted to the respective chapters for ratification.

The merger was consummated after meetings in March and April, 1947 uniting the National UNICO CLUBS and The National Civic League chapters from Massachusetts to Oregon; thus, UNICO National came to be.
