UNICO SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION – 2026

One of UNICO’s primary reasons for its fund raising efforts is to provide several college scholarships to local high school seniors.

Award amount: $1,500- $2,500
Number of awards: 3 – 4
Scholarships awards are for the next academic year.

Application Deadline: February 4, 2026 11:59 p.m

Farmington UNICO Scholarship Selection Criteria:

• Residents of Farmington, Unionville, or West Hartford, CT
• Entering first year of post-secondary education
• Achieved academic success (GPA 3.0 or higher)
• Demonstrated financial need

In choosing the Farmington UNICO scholar, some factors to consider include: academic achievement, extracurricular activities (community service, sports, clubs, hobbies, family caretaking), character, resilience when faced with extenuating circumstances, and financial need to continue their education.

Application Instructions for Students:

• Go to hfpg.org/scholarships
• Scroll down and select TAKE ME TO THE UNIVERSAL APPLICATION
• Create an account in the scholarship portal
• Log back onto the portal
• Click Apply on the top task bar
• Click Apply to start the application
• After you click Submit Application for the first part of the application, you will see the scholarship(s) for which you are eligible
• Complete the next part of the application and any supplemental questions
• Be sure to click Submit for each step
